Prime Fuel Polishing & Tank Cleaning is a Federally Incorporated company based in Sarnia, ON. that provides fuel polishing services for Southern Ontario and select Northern Ontario regions. With thousands of hours of experience our expert staff specializes in cleaning dirty, contaminated and water affected diesel fuel and tanks.
Our innovative cleaning and polishing process filters and treats your fuel back to original specification and cleans your tank interior so bacterial and fungal growth are removed and future proliferation is halted. We also save you the unnecessary costs and environmental footprint of contaminated fuel disposal and the expense of new diesel purchasing -- if your fuel is at the point where you're concerned about possible contamination, or are considering wholesale "removal and refill" give us a call and we'll let you know just how much fuel polishing can save you.
Prime Fuel not only polishes your fuel to one micron of cleanliness (diesel from the pump is filtered to 10 micron) but also vacuums the sides and bottom of your tank, adds fuel stabilizer and microbial growth blockers and lightly pressure washes your tank(s) before recirculating your fuel through a series of filters until it is clear and bright from top to bottom. We'll test your fuel for water (both free and emulsified), clarity (ASTM D-4176 test), grade it on the (ASTM D-1500) color scale and take before and after photos to show you the progress. If scheduled fuel testing is required for your company's critical sites we also offer comprehensive ISO-4406 particulate testing to confirm your fuel's pre- and post-polishing state and offer annual and semi-annual fuel monitoring programs.
The three step polishing process we employ eliminates not only your fuel's existing contamination but protects against the proliferation and immediate return of bacteria and fungus to your fuel from the actual tank itself. Prime Fuel's cleaning protocol removes problematic growth from tank walls and bottoms and ensures the next time you turn on your generator or fill your tank, bottom resting debris, corrosiove microbial growth and asphaltine sludge will not be stirred into your fuel and filters.
Whether your tanks are above or below ground (AST's or UST's), primary or secondary day tanks, are situated in large scale fuel farms, back-up generator belly tanks or diesel powered marine vessels our specialty is providing a completely "drip free" and clean site solution while we polish your fuel. Our tank cleaning system is minimally invasive, causes zero mess (through a "closed loop" design) and keeps the fuel in the tank where it belongs.
Our filtration set-ups remove bacteria, asphaltine, fungi, microbial growth (both at the fuel/air and fuel/water interfaces) as well as free and emulsified water with a high degree of efficiency. Our eye toward safety, firmly established (and redundant) cleaning and operational protocols and innovative polishing techniques ensure the job is done right each and every time. Our track record of customer satisfaction and ability to keep your machine in a state of readiness even while work is being performed is what keeps Prime Fuel a leader in the field.
It is Prime Fuel's primary mandate to not only save our customers costly and unnecessary repairs but to do so at a fraction of the cost of fuel disposal. We realize the gravity of an emergency power generator failure (and rough weather boating breakdown) and will not leave a job until it is completed to our exacting standards. Our job is to provide not only a clean burning (and lower emission) fuel but also to provide the peace of mind that comes from knowing your equipment, boat, generator or emergency power provider will start on time, every time, no matter what the circumstances.
